It’s Tuesday and Christmas is a week away! We hope you all enjoy the holidays and these stories.
1. Quakes Forward Chris Wondolowski and Chico State Teammates Host Soccer Camp to Benefit Camp Fire Victims (Cal North Youth Soccer)
San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski and some of his former teammates at Chico State hosted a soccer camp from December 13th-15th at Pleasant Valley high School in Chico California. This is to benefit the victims of the Camp Fire that ravaged California.
“The soccer camp is free for victims of the Camp Fire. Camp participants are asked to make a $50 donation with all proceeds going to the North Valley Community Foundation.”
Advanced Sports Technology hosted a workshop on Thursday the 13th. There was a players, parents, and coaches meet and greet with Wondolowski on Friday the 14th. Finally the soccer camp with Wondolowski and his former teammates was on Saturday the 15th.
“Saturday’s camp provided soccer players of all ages the opportunity to learn from U.S Men’s National Team and Quakes forward Wondolowski.”
Wondolowski leads MLS in goals for one club (140), road goals (67) and double-digit goals scored in consecutive seasons (8). He has truly accomplished much during his time in MLS and it’s great to see him give back to a community in need. The Quakes foundations has already donated $20,000 and they are donated equipment for the soccer camp.

3. Video Services Available for 2019 National League Event (US Youth Soccer)
Sports Video USA is a company dedicated to filming soccer tournaments all over the country.
“What we do is film entire soccer games in a professional manner using HD cameras mounted on 30-foot tall tripods.”
They are the video service provider for the US Youth Soccer National League Girls Winter Showcase. They are offering a package to any team for 1080p, high definition video.
“This special three-game team package is offered for $570.00, two-game pack $420.00, one game $220.00.”
They will also send an SD card when requested for an additional $30. This is a great service that will not only show the performance of the players, but it will also serve as a nice keepsake. They will be filmed in a manner similar to professional games and we are sure the players have always envisioned themselves filmed in such a fashion.
What do you think of the advancements in technology being available in tournaments like this?
