1. Gregg Berhalter names 27-player roster U.S. MNT training camp (Soccer Wire)
Gregg Berhalter has named the 27 players that will be a part of training camp with one additional player being announced at a later date. They will train at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. This will be Berhalter’s first practice and match as head coach.
“The U.S. opens the 2019 campaign against Panama on Jan. 27 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.”
One week later, the Men’s National Team takes on regional rival Costa Rica in Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California. This game will act as preparation for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
“In putting together this domestic-based roster, we started with a number of players who we think can be a core part of the group moving forward. We then looked at players that excelled this year in Major League Soccer, and finally chose players that can play a specific role in our game model.”

3. New Jersey Youth Soccer Scholarships (NJ Youth Soccer)
New Jersey Youth Soccer are offering multiple scholarship opportunities for New Jersey students. This is a great opportunity as scholarships are a huge help in college tuition. Plan for the future and avoid as much debt as possible through college. This is truly a wonderful program that will help the future prospects of the students in New Jersey and we recommend everyone who is eligible apply for these scholarships.
“We find it especially gratifying to help families subsidize the cost of college education through this scholarship program.”
The following are the names of the scholarships: Jeanine Willis Scholarship Fund, Brett Fenster Memorial Scholarship, and the Allan B. Sinclair Memorial Scholarship.
“Winners of each scholarship will be recognized at the 2019 NJ Youth Soccer Annual Awards Dinner, which will take place on February 1st in Edison, N.J.”
Jeanine Willis was NJ Youth Soccer’s first executive director, in her honor, one male and one female high school senior will win a $1,000 scholarship. Brett Fenster played soccer was a player for a majority of his life and truly loved the game. In his memoriam, one male and female high school senior will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Allan B. Sinclair served as both NJYS President and Executive Director. He was truly dedicated to NJYS and did most of his work as a volunteer. In his memoriam, $1,000 will be awarded to one male and female player. Agan, attempt to reduce as much debt from college as possible, apply for as many scholarships as possible. We applaud NJYS for these opportunities to their students.
