Fuel Soccer Talk: The pros and cons of Smart Ball; The pros of Catalan Soccer’s YouTube Channel; U.S. Men’s National Team shows resolve

Is the Dribble Up Smart Ball a smart purchase?

Here is another “tech” tool for the tool box. The Smart Soccer Ball is the “coolest way to practice new moves this holiday season, especially if it’s going to be a White Christmas.”

The pros of The Smart Soccer Ball: You can use the ball inside or outside. You get a very high number of repititions for each drill. It’s also great for home practice and the game style motivational tool with leaderboards and score boards to chase after. And the competitive angle where you can play against your friends gives DribbleUp Soccr Smart Ball a new dynamic.

But there are some cons – watch this excellent video from Catalan Soccer that breaks it all down. You can decide if it’s worth the money.

Payback: U.S. strikes back with dominant win over Canada

It’s called resolve. Or commitment. Or dedication. Or simply not over-reacting to a tough loss on the road. After a loss to Canada in Toronto earlier this month, the U.S. Men’s National Team punched back with a decisive blow on Nov. 15.

The U.S. Men’s National Team paid back its northern neighbor with a 4-1 win vs. Canada in Concacaf Nations League A play at Exploria Stadium. Gyasi Zardes grabbed a brace, Jordan Morris tallied a goal and an assist while Aaron Long also scored in the victory that pulled the U.S. within three points of Canada atop Group A and made head coach Gregg Berhalter the second-fastest coach in team history to reach 10 wins. The U.S. was missing a few key players allowing others to step up and leap into the spotlight. It’s all about taking advantage of opportunities and in the end Berhalter learned a lot about his team’s resolve.

The USMNT can win Group A with a victory in its final Concacaf Nations League A game against Cuba on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town, Cayman Islands.
