US Youth Soccer: Teams kick off conference season in Salt Lake City

The first conference weekend for the 2019-20 US Youth Soccer Desert Conference is in the books after a thrilling weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, that saw 60 teams compete in 90 matches. This past weekend featured just the 12U-14U Boys and Girls teams. The older age groups will begin play at the second conference weekend in Phoenix this November.

Defending champions continued to assert their dominance while a handful of new teams turned heads throughout the weekend.

14U Boys
Defending champion La Roca S 06 (UT) picked up where it left off last year by winning all three matches this past weekend. Trailing La Roca by two points are SC del Sol 06 Boys (AZ) and Rio Rapids 06 Boys (NM). Sitting three points behind the group leader are Utah Soccer Alliance (UT) and Sparta United B06 (UT), who scored a weekend-high 13 goals.
