For the first time ever, the US Men’s National Team will be coached by a world cup veteran. Gregg Berhalter has participated in two FIFA World Cups. He brings 25 years of experience as a player as well as head coaching experience in England, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the US.

“We are excited to announce Gregg as the next head coach of the U.S. Men’s National Team. As an experienced former National Team player and highly regarded professional coach, we are confident he is the best person to guide our program forward.”

Berhalter is known for his competitive nature and his intelligence. He is a natural leader and a detailed oriented manager. He is 45 and has a slew of experience, but most recently he had a dual role of Head Coach and Sporting Director with Columbus Crew SC for 5 seasons. He coached this team through multiple fantastic MLS Cup Playoff runs including playing in the 2015 MLS Cup Final and the 2017 Eastern Conference Final.
